How to get to the Blue Lagoon from Reykjavík is extremely easy and convenient with this VIP shuttle service. With a timetable offering hourly departures, you can simply choose the time that works for you and coordinates with your Blue Lagoon or Luxury Retreat Spa entrance time. As the bus ride from Reykjavík to the Blue Lagoon lasts about 45 minutes, it is best to schedule the bus pickup time for at least an hour before that entrance time.
Another important factor to keep in mind is that the pickup locations in Reykjavík are predetermined tourist bus stops, all located in and around the central, tourist zone of the city. These bus stops were implemented in 2017 by the city government in order to keep traffic to a minimum and to benefit citizens, workers, tourists and the environment. There are 14 tourist bus stops in total, each one located very close to all hotels and accommodations, so when selecting your ticket, you simply need to indicate which bus stop is closest to you.
It is important to note the way in which these tourist bus stops function. All tourist buses, minibuses and transport vehicles such as the shuttle bus to the Blue Lagoon or other tours are not allowed to stop and wait for passengers at the stops. Therefore it is very important that all passengers arrive at least 30 minutes early to the bus stop and be alert to the buses that are circulating. Bus drivers will not be calling out names, so it is the individual responsibility of each person to be attentive and on time for their bus.
Also note that if you are continuing on to the Keflavík Airport after your time at the Blue Lagoon and you have luggage you need to bring with you, that is no problem. There is FREE luggage storage at the entrance to the Blue Lagoon. You can leave your suitcases and bags there before entering the Blue Lagoon. - How many buses go daily: There are 7 - 8 buses per day depending on the season, starting at 7:30 till 17:30 with an additional bus at 6:25 in the summer months.

Keflavík International Airport is the only international airport in Iceland and where all visitors and guests will arrive to the country. Sometimes it is referred to as the Reykjavík airport, which while technically is not the true name, it is the same and only airport that also services the capital city.

If you are coming via the main road # 1 (Ring Road) from Eastern Iceland, keep driving for about 181 km from Egilsstadir. Instead of turning right, then leave Highway 1, turn left and take Highway 848 for approximately 1.5 km. Turn left when you see the sign "Road Baldursheimur 849". Continue on that road for 5 km. and you will see the sign "Heidi". Turn right and drive to the farm (about 3.5 km.). On the way there is a small bridge and a gate that is closed due to the sheep.
