MORE INFORMATION ON THE hVAMMSVÍK HOT SPRING ON THE WEST ICELAND
These genuine hot springs were open in July 2022. Since then they have just taken heart and mind of the travellers on Iceland. You can sumerge in one of the eight natural hot springs that slowly evolve into the Atlantic ocean. The temperatures is ideal, as it ranges from ocean temperatures 10°C according to the season up to 42°C where the old original hot spring is met. From the springs you can coonect to the ocean. Access to the Steam Bath as well is Outdoor shower is included, so you can enjoy every corner of these earthly baths.
Hot springs in Hvammsvík are inspired by an original old hot spring which used to be there. The stone is taken from the surrounding area and costline on West Iceland. The facilities in Hvammsvík were made over the original barrack foundations from times of Second Word War to preserve the historical site. Since the hot springs are kept in a natural way as described above we do recommend to bring wather shoes or rent the so called "ocean shoes" on spot, since the rocks can be sometimes harsh and slippery.
Hvammsvík is a great place to realax, to eat or to spend a night. On site there is Stormur Bistro & Bar where you can have some local food after a your baths. The food is a light delicious combination of nourishing ingredients. There are also some additional scheduled activities such as Yoga, Wim Hof, Ocean Swimming, Svett & more. We cant wait to see you in Hvammsvík :-)
