This includes the helicopter flight of about 15-20 minutes, as well as a 15-minute landing on a nearby mountain. There are various programmed outings during the morning and the afternoon. Helicopter trip from Reykjavik lasting 15-20 minutes with a 15-minute landing on the top of a nearby mountain for a total of 30-45 minutes, local VAT, an English speaking pilot/guide
It is highly recommended to reserve your spot several days before the desired departure date online in order to ensure availability.

The excursion is apt for all ages; children ages 2-12 are a lower price.

Reykjavík and the surrounding area. Departures are from the domestic airport.

There are numerous scheduled departures in the morning and in the afternoon. The morning departures vary between 08:00 and 13:00 and the afternoon departures between 13:00 and 20:00. Please keep in mind that during the winter months these times may change and move up in time, as the amount of light is less in Iceland during this time which would affect visibility and the tour.


Upon lift off from the Reykjavík domestic airport, the ground will fall away and you soar to new heights. During the trip, we will land on a summit of a mountain nearby where you will have the opportunity to observe the wonderful panoramas of the city which stretches out to reach the edge of the ocean, with little islands dotting the coastline. You will see mountains rising up around you, which will take your breath away, just like the misty hillsides volcanoes that gave 

Reykjavík its name (coming from the term “misty bay”)
In addition, you will be able to gaze at the picturesque and colorful settlements that extend below you. The total duration of the tour is approximately 30-45 minutes. This includes the helicopter flight of 15-20 minutes and the 15 minute touchdown on the mountain top. After this tour, you will surely never see Iceland the same way again.

If the meteorological conditions are not suitable for a flight, the provider will try to change the time or the date of the flight. In case it is not possible to do either, the total payment for the excursion will be returned.

What you should bring: Conditions in Iceland are always chilly to cold, so please bring the required clothing. This includes warm clothing to layer under water and windproof jackets, pants and shoes/boots (Gore-Tex is highly recommended). Please also be sure to pack and wear gloves/mittens, hats, scarves, sunglasses and a camera.
